Siaya County, Kenya – In a devastating incident, two lives were lost following a head-on collision involving two motorcycles. The accident occurred in the Nyamonye area along Bondo-Usenge Road on Sunday, April 21.

According to Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo, the incident unfolded when KDF officer Payton Mitch Opiyo was riding his motorcycle. Opiyo collided with another rider, resulting in a fatal crash. Both Opiyo and the other rider tragically lost their lives at the scene of the accident.

In addition to the fatalities, two pillion passengers sustained injuries during the collision. Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance and transport the injured passengers to nearby medical facilities.

The Kenya Air Force officer’s untimely demise has left the community in shock and mourning. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision, and road safety measures are under scrutiny to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
