Nicki Minaj, the rap superstar and soon-to-be tour headliner, has dismissed the rumors that she needs rehab before hitting the road. However, her way of addressing the speculation has left many fans puzzled and curious.

The rumors originated from a blind item posted on the gossip site CrazyDaysAndNights, which claimed that a "foreign-born former A+ list rapper" was struggling with addiction and would deliver a terrible performance on tour. The site later revealed that the rapper was Nicki Minaj, who was born in Trinidad and Tobago and moved to the U.S. when she was five years old.

The blind item was picked up by a TikTok account called @CelebriTEAblinds, which posts celebrity gossip and news. The account shared a video reporting the story and citing the source.

Minaj, who is known for being active and vocal on social media, apparently saw the video and decided to respond. She sent a direct message to the TikToker, saying: "Once ugly disease allegedly is being paid to get uglier." The TikToker was confused by the message and asked her followers what it meant in a follow-up video. Minaj then commented on that video, saying: "Allegedly they are sucking someone's dick & being paid to try and tear down a tour. SOLD OUT. SOLD OUT. SOLD OUT. Allegedly you have a disease?" The comments section was flooded with reactions from fans and viewers, who tried to decipher Minaj's words. Some thought she was implying that someone in the industry was paying the TikToker to spread false rumors about her. Others thought she was simply insulting the TikToker's appearance and health. And some thought she was proving the point of the blind item by sounding erratic and incoherent. Minaj, who is set to release her new album Pink Friday 2 on Dec. 8, has not clarified her comments or addressed the rehab rumors further. She has also not announced the dates and locations of her upcoming tour, which is expected to start in the spring of 2024.
